WELCOME TO OAKRIDGE WHITETAILS!
Our Farm
In 2000 we started our farm with only a few bred doe on 7
acres of sand. The following year, we added "Brisco", our first
breeder buck. Since then, things have really moved along.

Our farm is located in central Wisconsin and sits beneath a
ridge of towering oak trees right in the heart of sand country!

Our Herd
Socks - Aug. 21, 2006
We currently have 30+ deer, with the majority being bucks ranging
from 1 year olds to 3 year olds.   Keeping our herd small insures that
close attention is paid to each animal.   They get the care and nutrition
that is needed to give them every advantage to help them gain their
full potential.

Realizing that that the industry was growing larger bucks than us, we
decided to  A.I. for the first time in the fall of 2005 to increase our
genetic strength.   We have since bred to bucks such as;
 "Flash"
(Marlin son -Sipes), "Canyon" (Prasnicki) " Awesome"
(McGrew), "SilverStorm", "MN Pride" (Max), "DeMar Flash"
(Thunder/Johnny Patrick line), "Dale Jr." (Jack The Ripper) and
others.

Our doe's genetics are from "Quake" (Tonto womb brother),
"General Lee" (Flee's Louie), "Northwind" (son of Wild River's
Hook), "TNT" (full brother to "Rage (sire to "Eclipse"),  "Double
L" (Waldvogel), "KrazeeRoller" (HighRoller son) "Mammoth"
(Matter of Tine) and "Brisco", our foundation buck.
   200+
genetics are in the background of these girls and we are increasing
every them every year.   We bottle feed all of our doe fawns and leave
the buck fawns with mom.  Our herd is calm, even though the bucks
are not bottle fed.

In the fall of 2008, we will bring a new line once again to the OakRidge
herd to fully "maximize" the potential that we have already .

In 2005, we incorporated a handling facility into our operation for ease
of handling the deer with less stress (to the deer and us).

Our herd's CWD monitoring date is Oct of 2002 and we are TB
accredited and Brucellosis certified .
Our Goal
Our goal is to improve upon our genetics and raise big bodied,
heavy tined, typical main frame deer.   We hope to improve on
a herd that has already been geared toward excelling it's
genetics.  In the last couple of years, we began to focus on our
herds genetics by carefully selecting genetics that would only
prove to bring out the true potential of our herd and grow true
trophies.   We will continue to A.I. our doe to improve and
increase the genetics!
